Kelly Clarkson is denying being courted by "American Idol" producers for next season's judges panel. A rep for the singer is telling "The Hollywood Reporter" that she will not be a part of season 13 of the Fox show, where she found fame back in 2002 as its first ever champion.
Reports that Clarkson was being considered first came from "Vulture," who said producers were playing with the idea of an all-alumni panel. Season eight runner-up Adam Lambert, who has publicly expressed interest in the gig, is reportedly being considered as well. After performing at last week's finale, he told the "Reporter" that he "would love to" be a judge. He added, "Where do I sign?"
"Idol" producers are rumored to be looking to overhaul the show after record-low ratings this year. Randy Jackson is the only judge from last season to officially announce his departure, but the return of Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban is still unclear.
