Carrie Underwood graces the cover of the June issue of Marie Claire. She also gives a very candid interview inside the magazine that's very interesting. You can click below to read it. Pretty neat.
Most importantly...the car she's photographed in here is a 1953 Ford Sunliner. It's almost as pretty as Carrie is.
"Carrie's" '53 Ford is noteworthy for having a V-8 engine (I took note of that in a video on the photo shoot that I saw). With the V-8 cme power steering and power brakes; options not available on six cylinder models.
The V-8 in this car is flathead engine. 1953 was the last year for the "flattie", an engine that Henry Ford helped design himself.
For 1954, the flathead was replaced by the Y-Block, overhead valve V-8 engine.
