11-year-old Ben Balz of Valparaiso, Florida was diagnosed with bone cancer 5 years ago and had his right leg amputated.
Balz then got a prosthetic leg, but he hasn't let that stop him from being a great athlete! He has competed in 3 kid's triatholons.
On Sunday, Balz had just finished a 150 yard swim and a three mile bike ride and was half way through the one mile race to the finish line in his latest triatholon when his prosthetic leg broke.
A marine private named Matthew Morgan, who was volunteering at the race, came to Balz's rescue by picking him up and carrying him across the finish line!
