After recent health complications, George Jones has said he is feeling strong and ready to hit the road once again, for the final time. The legendary singer has announced his final Grand Tour, which is set to take place this year.
Jones has came to the conclusion that after 50 years touring for country music fans, the time has come to slow down and to spend more of his time at home with his wife, children and grandchildren.
“It is tough to stop doing what I love, but the time has come,” Jones says in a statement.
The long-time singer is also planning to release a new full-length album for his loving and loyal fans. The album will feature new tunes, some of which may be penned by another legendary great, Dolly Parton, who recently revealed she was writing for the project. She hopes to lend her vocals to the new Jones record, as well.
