Scotty McCreery gave back to education this week by hosting the Annual CMA Keep the Music Playing concert in Nashville earlier this week.

He presented a 1.2 million dollar check to Nashville area school music programs and even took time out to perform with the school choir.

McCreery talked about the importance of music education in his own life, “I was in school music my entire life. Started in elementary school, middle school, high school. That was definitely a huge part in my musical background and my foundation and everything.”
